      After each examination the Optometrist will hand over a report outlining the level of vision, when spectacles should be worn, any eye desease present and whether the resident is at a higher risk of falls as a result of their visual impairment.

A folder is provided which records the resident's details, the name of the Clinical Director and contact telephone number for any queries you or the relatives may have. All details of the Optometrists including PCT Ophtalmic list number and qualifications are listed.

This documentation provides you with a resource to monitor the service and provide inspection teams with the reassurance that residents are receiving high quality regular eye care.
