It really is a must-attend event for any care home manager as there will be a number of great speakers discussing important issues they will need to deal with in the coming year. This must-attend event will be taking place on the 18th of October at the China Fleet Country Club, Plymouth, PL12 6LJ.The event is based around the theme of 'Focusing on Outcomes' and the speakers involved are all experts in their fields. The keynote speaker at the event will be: Barbara Pointon OBE, Dementia Ambassador, whose talk will be on "Offering Enlightened Support and Care". Barbara cared for her husband, Malcolm, who suffered from dementia for eleven years. Their experiences were filmed and televised several years ago, and Barbara presents a candid, moving and intimate account of Malcolm's journey from diagnosis through to his passing. We can all learn a great deal from her experience and understanding of Alzheimer's as a result of caring for Malcolm.
