Vision Call (Reg. No 277261) was established in 1994 with the aim of providing quality eye care services to those who are housebound and cannot attend their local optician. We have now grown to the position of being Scotland's leading provider of this domiciliary eye care service, and one of the fastest growing optical companies in the UK, currently ranked number 38 (2006) in the Sunday Times Top 100 Fast Track Companies. We also have a large number of corporate clients and a variety of trade and industry businesses – we are branching out into home visits for audiology in addition to optical care.  Our own lens laboratory ensures we have absolute control over all aspects of the care and service we provide. The company is owned and operated by Optometrists at Local and Board Level so high clinical standards are of paramount importance.



Our Eye Care Plan is delivered to you by our highly trained and dedicated team of optometrists, dispensing opticians and optical assistants, with full back up from our experienced office staff and lab technicians. At Vision Call we believe that everyone has the fundamental right to sight, and aim to ensure that all those who are entitled to receive an NHS sight test are informed of the fact that they can have a free eye examination in their own home.  It is estimated that up to 1,000,000 people in the UK qualify for this service which they currently do not receive.  As our aging population increases, the need for our services is likely to grow substantially as 85% of blind and partially sighted people are over 65.
